Spark New Zealand Limited is a New Zealand telecommunications and digital services company providing fixed-line telephone services, mobile phone services, broadband, and digital technology services (including cloud, security, digital transformation, and managed services). Its customers range from consumers to small - medium business, government agencies and large enterprise clients.

It was formerly known as Telecom New Zealand until it was rebranded to Spark on 8 August 2014. It has operated as a publicly traded company since 1990. Spark's mobile network reaches 98% of New Zealand, with over 2.7 million mobile connections and 687,000 broadband connections.

Utterly poor service from Spark. Disconnected service without warning. Spoke to at least 24 people from Spark when I was passed off to different teams / had to follow up, but each time, no-one seemed to know what the status of my re-connection was. Poor poor service.

Pros

The only area Spark seemed to be capable in was extracting the early termination fee when I terminated the contract with them. Pity they are not capable in dealing with their incompetencies.

We have repeatedly telephoned Spark and gone into their shop to ask for help and don't get anywhere. Now out of the blue they are trying to force us into changing to fibre. We have been asking about this for the last year and had no help of any kind. We had to buy a new modem which has since broken. We pay $100 a month for irregular and unreliable service.
