Spark 4G wireless broadband is our only real option as there is no spare copper cable to our new address and it would cost thousands to have one installed. Actually its a no-brainer as it is only slightly more expensive than the VDSL we had at our previous (neighbouring) address. We were near the limit of distance from the roadside cabinet.
Pros
Just slightly more expensive than VDSL and Landline phone. Free modem. Easy setup. Good incentive offer for changing at the time. Quite fast. VoIP, with NZ landline 'toll' calls free.
Cons
Rather expensive. Phone not available if electricity is off, though this is not too much of a problem if one has a mobile phone. Two year minimum term.

Broadband works satisfactorily and service when needed has been promote and satisfactory. We don't download large files eg films. I don't have another to compare with except Orcon for a short while and that was seriously bad.
