Reliability is good. Support communication is a frustratingly lengthy process when you need it most.
Value for us older users is poor when we are paying around $85.00 per month, and mostly only use
5 - 10gb per month! It would be much fairer to have a stepped usage plan. If we were to overstep the allowance
per month on a stepped program, Spark could simply adjust the bill for that month - SIMPLE!
Pros
Reliability is close to perfect, so thank you for that!

I have been with slingshot from the begining. Over the years they have become a greedy poorly run outfit.

Cons
Customer service is the worst. They do not consider older people at all.

Reliability has gotten worse this year. I never used to notice many connection drops, but the last couple of months I have noticed quite a few. I notice because I game a lot which requires consistent good latency. But then, perhaps I am gaming more than I used to? I normally get a latency of ~150ms with game servers being in Singapore. I've never need to use support so can't really objectively comment on that. I have not switched to fiber yet even though its up our street now. Thinking about switching soon though. ...read more

Overall reliability & speed was fine - just cost caused us to switch.

Overall a satisfactory experience with these guys, just returning to my original provider for a bit.
Pros
Great customer service. Good introductory deal although it wasn't implemented properly and took some pushing on my part to get the terms that were originally offered.
Cons
A little punitive towards late payments.

Spark made no effort to retain me as a customer once fibre became available and we could upgrade from the copper net work.
Pros
Much faster and cheaper service
Cons
None so far

Urged to go to 4G. Good for 3 months then started slowing. Eventually speed test said - no latency. Changed to copperwire - wonderful. Took two months of problems (still had to pay) to connect- all Spark problems. Then received letter saying copperwire monthly price going up and go back to wonderful, reliable 4G to avoid increase in charges. Spark customer service denied anything wrong with 4G and my problems were normal.
Pros
Features on paper were good
Cons
Arrogant staff responses - with two exceptions.
No service - yet still paying
Talk at you - not to you
